The Pena Family Daycare is an in-home family childcare center conceived by Stephanie and Tony Pena, and will be opening in June 2008. Tony is a Middle School Science teacher and Elementary/Middle School Physical Education teacher at a local private school. He also coaches numerous children's sports teams. Stephanie has been teaching school for six years. She spent three years in preschool education, and has since then been teaching fourth grade. Stephanie holds her AA Degree in Early Childhood Education, her BA Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, and is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Education Administration. Stephanie also has an Associate Teacher Permit through the CA Board of Teacher Credentialing. Both are First Aid and CPR certifiedThe Pena Family Daycare is a labor of love conceived from the idea to offer a better choice in in-home childcare. The Pena Family Daycare is an education-rich, safe, affordable choice for your child’s formative years. Part of our desire to offer this type of service was inspired by our own family’s needs, as sharing her teaching and education skills this way allows Stephanie to stay home with their four year old son while she finishes her Master's Degree. This is, however, not a temporary situation. Stephanie has two years of schooling and two years before her son has to go to school. She is excited about this new venture and will continue to provide this service to the community as long as there is a need for it. This is a home away from home for your child and is a loving, clean, and safe environment for your child to learn, play and grow.
